Freedom!

Just a quick Millie update

Millie is finally cone free, its such a relief for her as she had been in it for so long. All her own fault apparently as if she hadn’t kept scratching it then she would have been free much quicker. You can’t blame a girl for trying though and she was very clever in finding ways around it! It makes my life a bit more comfortable as well as having Mille sleeping on me with a cone wasn’t exactly the most comfortable way to have a good cat nap. Plus, now, she’s back to her old mad self again so were back to ‘normal’ or as much as we ever were. And as much as she can be a bit mental and annoying I wouldn’t have her any other way. She’s my sisfur and I love her just the way she is.

Daddy says she’s still got a bit of a bald head but now she’s stopped scratching she’s got what he calls, soft fluffy peach fuzz growing on her head. Well I don’t know what she’s done now but I hope her fur grows back quickly and gets rid of the peaches!

Millies peach fuzz

Whilst she had her cone of shame on Millie’s Christmas present finally arrived – can you believe that it took so long to get here? So as a special treats for being so good and getting cone free she got to open her present. It was such fun and for once had us all curious as to what it might be, all three of us playing together, having fun and not even any fighting – what magical toy could bring such unity?

Yew can’t escape from us

Well, its a snake! A toy snake that Millie says has light up eyes but it chases us! it wiggles around the floor slithering after us with its red eyes flashing, then after a bit it falls silent, where’s it gone, I know its here somewhere and then, just as you think it’s dead and give it a whack just to make sure off it goes again! wriggling and chasing and challenging us to chase it. Well, we got it cornered, with three of us it doesn’t stand a chance – I know two of us are blindies but as you already know that doesn’t mean we can’t hunt. OK so I’ve hunted a lot outside with mummy whilst were on walkies and never yet caught anything but I blame mummy for that – she’s not exactly stealthy and just cramps my style outside. Inside though that’s a different story I don’t have her bumbling along behind me scaring everything away, I’m a lean, mean, fighting machine – until the snake turns round to chase me that is and then I’m off but only after I’ve got a good whack in!

Our new playmate

At least now Millie and I can snuggle in comfort without her continually doinking me on the head. Balance has been restored and we’re back to our usual purrfectly imperfect family.

Peaceful snuggle time
