Things I love

Right at the top of the list is obviously mummy and daddy and my wonderful furramily, Millie, Angelin and angels Peppar and Mia.

Walkies,of course and climbing trees well, that goes without saying. I love the outdoors and being able to listen to everything going on around me. It’s so stimulating and exciting and I can build a picture in my mind of the world around me. Plus it’s great exercise and keeps me in great shape and looking good. I even make furriends on walkies so it also improves my social life getting to meet new humans and other pets also out on walkies.

Fun times when out on walkies, I’m just an outdoors girl.

Pizza 🍕 oh how I love warm pizza but it’s gotta have olives 🫒 that’s all I want. Luckily for me mummy hates olives so I get to eat all of hers but the smell of them just drives me CRAZY! I’ve just got to get to them, it’s an obsession. So after rolling around and around on the warm boxes, every move releasing little wafts of olive gorgeousness, tantalising my nose I’ve just got to get in there and get them, so out come the paws scratching at the box, if I can just get a little paw in then I can get to the sweet, sweet olives. Result I’ve got one paw in, the olives are within reach, maybe if I use my sharp teeth I can rip away the cardboard outer and reach the delicious insides. Just as I’m working my way in towards my food heaven, I’m so close, just a little bit further and victory will be mine I’m brought back to earth with a bump, well a tap from mummy “no Jenny! Paws off our pizza”

Come here little olives I can smell you in there

Boxes, boxes, boxes and more boxes plus a bag or two. They’re just the best, you can use them for so many things, you can play in them, hide inside, sleep in them, sit on them and chew them. They make great forts and beds as well and sometimes they come with crinkly paper inside which is another great toy to play with but also snuggle in or on.

Snuggling, I didn’t used to like snuggling, I wasn’t much of a lap cat until the weather started to get colder after I first arrived. Then one day I hopped up onto mummy’s lap and curled up, it was warm and was soft and slightly squishy, so I stayed there for a while and before long I drifted off to sleep and from then on I was part adventure cat, part snuggle bunny. I now quite enjoy spending time on mummy’s lap, keeping her warm on a cold winters night and making it so that daddy has to go and top up all the drinks.

Playing football is just the best indoor fun, weaving, dribbling, striking and goooaaaaalll – Jenny scores. Just because I can’t see doesn’t mean I don’t still use the flat as a football obstacle course, patting the ball this way and that around the sofa, past the chair, under the table, across the hall and under the bed. Weaving between the under bed boxes and then back round and down the hallway, left paw, right paw, passing the ball like a pro before thwack…right at the front door – it’s a goal 1-0 to me. I also love playing with my sisfurs and have even started to let Millie chase me a bit but Angelin is the real street fighter, we quite often rough and tumble and then mummy and daddy yell “blindie fight” and off we go, as much as I hate to admit it Angelin normally wins but hey, I’m a lover not a fighter.

Blindie fight

Bird watching is something that I really enjoy doing from our balcony. I can hear the distinct sound of their wings flapping as they circle around finding a place to land, I can hear their little feet walking around below on the grass and their beaks pecking at the bread that mummy sometimes throws down for them or the little apples that fall from the tree. I can tell the difference between the birds mummy calls pigeons and the bigger crows that swoop down and scare the pigeons away in one big flock. They all fly off in different directions, it sounds exciting and slightly chaotic with so many wings flapping in so many different directions, some flying up and away and some coming into land. From our balcony we’ve got the purrfect spot to see it all.

Can you spot the little birds 🐦 I can with my super blindie senses
