I’m soooo happy, I had so many wonderful people vote for me in the competition I just had to thank you all.

I thought that I should let you know how I did but before I make the big announcement I just wanna say how lucky I am to have so many lovely friends all round the world. I’m so glad that you all enjoy following my adventures and seeing what I can do and hopefully showing what any perfectly imperfect animal is capable of.
We haven’t had anything back from the competition people and we might not hear where I officially came in the competition but mummy checked a few minutes before it closed.
So go on, take a guess where do you think I came? Where did I get with that fab photo that my grandpawents chose? Did I win? Did I come last? These were all questions I really wanted to know. This is kind of how the conversation went…daddy was sitting right there with us to share the excitement.
Me: “Mummy, mummy, where did I come mummy? Did I win? Did I come last? Did I promote us perfectly imperfect kitties well? Was I a trailblazer?”
Mummy: “Well Jenny, I think they’ve still got to validate all the votes to make sure no-one cheated but the top three were quite a way ahead of the rest but let me just tell you some figures that I’ve worked out first”.
Me: “Mummy, just tell me I just wanna know if I’ve shown what beautiful cats us perfectly imperfect kitties are”.
Mummy: “Just wait a minute Jen, let me just explain. I want you to understand everything first because this means a lot, it puts everything into perspective”.
- There were 119 pages of entrants photos
- On the first two pages there were 50 photos each
- Assuming there were 50 photos on each page that means there were around 5,950 entries!
Me: “Ok, ok so there were loads of entries and I know you’re just preparing me for bad news as there’s so many cute cats and dogs who don’t have my differences so ok I’m braced for the bad news now”.
Mummy: “I’m really sorry Jenny but you didn’t…”
Me (interrupting): “I knew it, I didn’t show off well enough, I wasn’t cute enough against all this normal pets…”
Mummy: “Jenny! Let me finish please, you didn’t win this time but out of all those entries you came in at number 14! You had over 200 votes!”
Me: “WHAT! You mean I came in the top 20 out of all those photos, out of all those perfect pets? I came almost at the top?”
Mummy: “Yes Jenny, you did amazingly well, you were also the highest blindie and perfectly imperfect cat as well, although not the only one who entered”.
Daddy: “We’re just so proud of you Jen, you did so well and have really helped raise the profile of those animals who are slightly different but perfectly beautiful and amazing”.
Me: “Oh wow I’m so happy, I won top perfectly imperfect cat and that’s what really matters, showing everyone in the whole world how beautiful and amazing we really are”.
Mummy: “You’re so right Jenny and you did get votes from all around the world, as far away as South Africa and America! You’ve got some amazing friends out there supporting you and wishing you well”.
Daddy: “You really need to thank all of your friends Jen Jen they did so well supporting you”.
Me: “Oh yes! You’re so right I’ll have to thank everyone and tell them how well I did and how much I love them all for supporting me. I don’t care that I didn’t win the whole thing, that’s not what it was about was it mummy?”
So here I am saying a big thank you to everyone, I really can’t believe that little old me came 14th out of thousands in a photo competition. Now I’ve done one I think I quite fancy doing some moewdelling and mummy and I really had a fun time doing our outdoor photo shoots to try to get the perfect photo, I was up in the trees, lying in the grass, stalking the birds, posing and strutting my stuff. Mummy says it wasn’t all that easy as I never, ever keep still and somehow I always seem to know when she’s got the camera in front of me as I walk towards it and all she gets is a giant blurry picture of my nose or ear. I can’t help it I can hear and smell when mummy’s in front of me and I just go over to give her a quick nuzzle.
Maybe we can enter another competition one day and have even more fun and maybe sneak into the top 10 – who knows, the sky’s the limit now!
Thank you again and I am so lucky to have so many friends supporting me. I love all of you and hope you continue to enjoy my stories, adventures and my weekly antics.
